Weidner received an associate’s degree of Applied Science in Horticulture from the Agricultural Technical Institute of The Ohio State University. He attended Kent State University’s Center for Executive Education and Development and Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management’s Emotional Intelligence Program.
Todd Jones began his ACRT career in 1994 as a work planner. By 2005, he had risen through the ranks of supervisor, manager and vice president to become Chief Operations Officer. He now serves as President of Bermex, in addition to his Chief Operations Officer role with ACRT. Formerly serving as a Director for the Utility Arborist Association (UAA) — a governing organization in the utility vegetation management industry, and Executive Champion of the UAA’s Editorial Committee. Jones remains a member of the UAA, and a member of the UAA’s Editorial Committee, where he helps develop editorial content on a wide variety of industry trends, concerns and initiatives. He serves on the board of directors for ACRT and Bermex.
Jones is an ISA Certified Arborist and Certified Utility Arborist. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Urban Forestry Management from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and Associates of Applied Science in Urban Tree Management from Paul Smith’s College in New York. Jones is now an alumni trustee on the board of trustees at Paul Smiths College of the Adirondacks.
Chief Human Resources Officer
Bob Chess has been involved in human resources and labor relations his entire career. Prior to joining ACRT, Chess served as Vice President of Human Resources for Roadway Express, a major national less-than-truckload transportation company. He previously held various management positions at the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and its subsidiaries. Chess serves on numerous boards, including ACRT, Bermex, the Akron Urban League, the University of Akron, and Sentry Products. He is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), HR Leadership Group of Northeast Ohio, the ESOP Association and the Ohio Employee Ownership Center (OEOC).
Brad Schroeder holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Bowling Green State University and an MBA in Finance from The University of Akron. He has served in several financial capacities at a Fortune 500 company, and most recently held the position of Vice President of Finance for YRC Worldwide in Akron.
As our CFO, he is responsible for all accounting, reporting and financial functions as well as information technology. He is highly active in the local community as a member of the GAR Foundation board, the board of Goodwill Industries and the advisory boards for Summit County Social Services.
